Tight loops, deep payoffs
A great tactical turn should feel readable on the surface and rewarding underneath. We obsess over the 10-second decision and the 40-hour build at the same time.

Games with soul, systems with teeth. A small studio making tactical, lore-rich games that respect the player.
Explore Our GamesThe studio
Little Gary Games is the indie game studio inside the LogiNestForge nest. We're a small, focused team making tactical, systems-driven games that reward thinking, experimentation, and time spent learning the mechanics. We care about tight systems, fair difficulty, and stories that actually respect the player.
Because our developers also build commercial platforms across the rest of LogiNestForge, we get to experiment with deeper engineering than most indies can afford — well-typed data models, proper QA, content tooling, telemetry, and pipelines built for long-term maintenance, not launch hype. The result: games that ship rough edges sanded down and keep getting better long after release.

Design philosophy
We build games the way we build software: figure out the system first, prove it's fair, then layer the fiction on top so it means something when it plays out. That doesn't mean cold or clinical. Some of the best emotional beats in games come from a rule you understood five hours ago colliding with a choice you make right now — and meaning more than either did on its own.
A great tactical turn should feel readable on the surface and rewarding underneath. We obsess over the 10-second decision and the 40-hour build at the same time.
If you lose, you should be able to point at the move that did it. We don't hide stats, we don't fudge dice, and we don't pad runtime with grind.
A decision in hour two should still be visible in hour twenty. We design state forward — the world remembers, the systems respond, and replays feel like fresh runs, not the same script.
We don't bolt narrative on top — characters, factions, and lore live inside the systems they affect. The mechanics are the story; the cutscenes just help you notice.
What we build
Tactical, systems-led, with worlds that earn the time you spend in them.
Turn-based, grid- and squad-based games that reward smart play, board reading, and adaptive thinking.
Settings with internal logic, history, and politics — written to be explored, not just narrated at you.
Systems that interact in ways the rules don't spell out — where the best moments are the ones we didn't script.
Pacing built around thinking, not twitch. Time to read the board, weigh options, and live with the consequences.
Classes, builds, and choices that still matter 40 hours in — not just at the tutorial. Diverging paths, not skin trees.
We listen to players. Open testing, transparent patch notes, balance passes that explain themselves, and modding where it fits.
Custom editors and content pipelines so designers iterate fast — and so the games keep getting better long after launch.
We're fans of the genre first. If we wouldn't boot it up on a Friday night, we don't ship it.
A clean tutorial, readable UI, and a difficulty curve that earns your trust. Depth shouldn't mean a wall on day one.
