Stylist Saviour Privacy Policy

Stylist Saviour is an app made by LogiNestForge ("we", "us") in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and the choices you have. It applies under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who this covers

Hairdressers who use the app ("you"), and the clients whose details you enter. For your own account details we are the controller. For your clients' details you are the controller and we process them on your behalf only to run the app.

What we store

• Your account: your Google account name, email address and a user ID, used to sign you in. Stylist Saviour only supports Google sign-in and asks for your basic profile only; it can't see your calendar, email or contacts.
• Your business: display and business name, time zone, working hours, service menu, blocked time and reminder preferences.
• Clients: name and, if you add them, phone number, email address and service notes. The app is designed not to hold health information (such as allergies) and the client form asks you not to enter it.
• Appointments: services, times, status, planned and used products (colour formulas) and notes.
• Private notes: ManeMemos and other notes you write about visits.
• Visit photos: photos you take or choose for a client's visit, with a caption. Before upload the app re-encodes each photo, which removes location and camera details embedded in the file. Please ask your client before taking a photo.
• Supplies: shopping lists and stock levels.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• To sign you in, store your diary and records, and sync them between your devices — contract (providing the app you asked for).
• Client details and photos are processed on your instructions as a processor. As the controller you are responsible for having a lawful basis, such as your client's consent for photos.

We don't use your data for advertising, profiling or analytics, and we don't sell or share it.

Where it is stored

In Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), in an area only your signed-in account can read or write. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google. A copy is kept on your phone so the app works offline; it is cleared when you sign out. The app opts out of Android backup and device transfer.

Third-party services

There are no advertising, analytics or crash-tracking SDKs in the app.

Permissions and notifications

Stylist Saviour asks to send notifications only when you switch reminders on. Lock-screen text never shows private content, and you can turn previews off. Photos are taken with your phone's own camera app or chosen with the system photo picker, so the app doesn't need camera or full photo-library access. It doesn't use your location, contacts, calendar or microphone.

Sharing

Nothing is shared with your clients or other users. Data only leaves the app when you choose to export it.

Children

Stylist Saviour is a business tool for professional hairdressers and isn't intended for use by anyone under 18.

How long we keep it

We keep your data until you delete it. Deleting a client also deletes their photos. Deleting your account removes everything.

Your choices and rights

• Export: Settings › Export my data saves a complete copy as a file.
• Delete: delete a client, or your whole account and all its data, in the app (Settings › Delete account and all data). If you can't use the app, use our account deletion page or email us, and we'll delete it within 30 days.
• Clients: if you're a stylist's client and want a copy of your details or want them deleted, ask your stylist, who can export or delete them in the app. You can also contact us and we'll pass your request on.

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, and to data portability. Email support@loginestforge.uk to exercise any of these rights. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the app changes the way it handles personal data. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
